CWA: Training / Assessment

The new MTLB Climbing wall award is essential for anyone in a position of responsibility when supervising climbing activities on indoor climbing walls, artificial boulders and towers.

The Training course is run over two days which usually includes the Abseil module.  All participants must be registered and have their log book from the MLTB.

Participants are required to be a minimum of top rope competent and 18 years or older with some climbing experience.  Participants are required to take part in a training course, then have a period of consolidation to gather additional experience after which you can choose to take your assessment.

Once qualified you will be able to take groups climbing to any indoor climbing centre.  Please check with individual climbing centres for their terms and conditions.
